FASHION ICONS

STYLE ICON & PIONEER

Mrs. Eunice Johnson of Johnson Publishing passed away in Jan. this year. She was the epitome of grace and style, and was a pioneer in bringing Haute Couture to Black culture. She and her late husband, John, may rest in peace knowing that their heir, Linda Johnson Rice, will keep their legacy in tact for many, many years to come.
NAOMI SIMS - AMERICA'S TOP MODEL

I remember when I was a little girl, we would read Ebony magazines at relative's and friend's homes. I loved seeing these gorgeous black models on page after page.
Naomi Sims was the first Black top model (1960's) who launched a successful cosmetics line and was the author of 5 beauty books. Ms. Sims passed away on August 1st 2009. I wanted to pay my respects to a fabulous woman, role model and pioneer. You will never be forgotten.

Black America never looked better!
